IT System Administrator – Cloud & Infrastructure

About the role

Our client seeks a motivated IT System Administrator to manage and optimise modern IT environments across multiple locations. You will work on global infrastructure projects, support international data centres, and ensure high‑performance, secure systems.

Key responsibilities

• Administer core Microsoft platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Teams, Active Directory/Entra ID, SCCM, Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Microsoft Servers.
• Manage and support network environments (WAN, LAN, Wi‑Fi, SD‑WAN, SD‑Access, IP, VLAN) across several sites.
• Support international data‑centre infrastructure, including servers, storage, and virtualised environments.
• Maintain Citrix infrastructure and monitor system performance, applying optimisations where needed.
• Provide 2nd‑line support for incidents, service requests, and system changes, and assist global 1st‑line teams.
• Drive system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and IT projects while ensuring strong security focus.
• Manage system configurations, backups, and participate in on‑call duties.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or equivalent IT qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT system administration.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VLAN); Cisco experience is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft technologies (M365, Azure, Windows Server, AD/Entra ID, Intune, Teams, PowerShell).
• Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware) and storage systems.
• Exposure to Citrix environments and managing service providers.
• Good English communication skills; German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel and participate in on‑call support.
