Inside Account Executive – Public Sector

About the role

The Inside Account Executive (Public Sector) joins Cisco’s Global Virtual Sales team to drive growth across a portfolio of public‑sector accounts. Working closely with partners, solution engineers and specialist sellers, you will manage the full Cisco portfolio and help customers adopt transformative technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Generate, qualify and close sales opportunities for a list of at least 50 active public‑sector accounts.
• Collaborate with Cisco partners and internal solution engineers to design and present end‑to‑end solutions.
• Maintain a high‑quality pipeline, provide accurate forecasts and leverage market insights to optimise engagement.
• Develop territory plans that identify cross‑architecture opportunities and drive quota attainment.
• Travel occasionally for key customer and partner meetings while primarily operating in a hybrid work model.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience.
• Consistent achievement of at least 100 % quota or year‑over‑year growth of 10 % or more.
• Experience managing a full sales cycle and a portfolio of 50+ active accounts.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to articulate value propositions to public‑sector customers.
• Data‑driven decision‑making for pipeline analysis and forecasting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce or similar digital selling tools.
