Human Resources Internship (12-18 months)

About the role

Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) is offering a 12‑18 month Human Resources internship for South African graduates aged 18‑35. The programme combines classroom knowledge with on‑the‑job training across multiple TFR locations, giving participants practical exposure to HR functions in a large transport organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Support employee relations and grievance handling.
• Participate in training coordination and performance management activities.
• Help maintain HR records and databases.
• Contribute to HR projects and research initiatives.

Required profile

• South African citizen, aged 18‑35.
• Graduate or recent graduate from a recognised TVET college or higher education institution with a qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
• No prior work experience required.
• Must have completed all theoretical training and have no bursary obligations.
