HR Practitioner – KZN Farms

About the role

Rainbow Chicken is seeking an experienced HR Practitioner to provide comprehensive human‑resources support across its KZN farms. The role focuses on employee relations, compliance with labour legislation, and the delivery of HR services in a fast‑moving poultry environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise line managers on conduct, misconduct, disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Represent the company at CCMA hearings and chair monthly shop‑steward meetings.
• Manage housing allocations, evictions and employee wellness programmes.
• Oversee recruitment workflow, conduct interviews, and supervise new‑employee orientation.
• Administer probation reviews, performance appraisals, talent reviews and succession planning.
• Ensure job profiles are current and support employment‑equity targets.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resource Management.
• 2‑3 years HR experience and 3‑4 years in an operations environment, preferably FMCG or poultry.
• Valid EB driver’s licence and willingness to travel between farms in the Hammarsdale‑Pietermaritzburg corridor.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law, health‑and‑safety policies and change‑management processes.
