HR Generalist (Onsite – Midrand)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to lead payroll, employee relations, recruitment and talent management for our Midrand site, supporting roughly 150 employees in an onsite environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the payroll system, ensure timely and accurate salary payments and compliance with statutory regulations.
• Handle appointment and termination documentation, conduct exit interviews and manage onboarding for new hires.
• Maintain HR data integrity in relevant systems, update organograms and prepare quarterly government reports.
• Provide advice on disciplinary cases, grievances, incapacity and represent the company at CCMA hearings.
• Coordinate employee wellness programmes and chair monthly shop‑steward meetings.
• Drive the recruitment process: advertise vacancies, conduct interviews, oversee orientation and manage probation reviews.
• Coach functional leads on performance management, succession planning and employment‑equity targets.
• Develop and deliver HR training, maintain the training matrix and support individual development plans.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources Management.
• 3–5 years experience as an HR Generalist in an FMCG, multinational or manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in employee and industrial relations.
