History Teacher (FET)

About the role

Redwood College is seeking a full‑time History Teacher for the Further Education and Training (FET) phase. Based on‑site in La Lucia, the successful candidate will deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned history lessons to secondary learners, fostering an inclusive and dynamic classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver comprehensive history lessons in line with IEB standards.
• Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance the overall academic programme.
• Participate actively in school events, extracurricular activities and professional development initiatives.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of IEB History and the FET phase.
• Relevant teaching qualification and certification for the FET phase.
• Proven experience in lesson planning, curriculum development and adapting resources for varied learners.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Prior experience teaching history at secondary school level is highly desirable.
