Health & Safety Manager

About the role

Bidvest Tank Terminals is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Manager to join its SHE Department in Richards Bay. Reporting to the SHE Manager, you will lead the development and maintenance of robust health and safety management systems, ensuring a safe workplace for all employees.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement and maintain health and safety management systems.
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment across the terminal.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, customer and certification requirements.
• Monitor and report on safety performance metrics.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to influence safety culture.

Required profile

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff.
• Excellent planning, organising and multitasking abilities.
• High integrity, confidentiality and the capacity to work under pressure.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of the OHS Act and related industry legislation.
• Proven ability to interact effectively with both internal teams and external parties.
