Geometrics Engineer

About the role

Our client is an established consulting engineering and project management firm seeking a Geometrics Engineer with strong road design experience to work across municipal and provincial road infrastructure projects. The role offers the opportunity to contribute across the project lifecycle, from planning and design through to implementation, on technically varied road projects.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake geometric design of road infrastructure from concept through to detailed design, including alignments, profiles, cross‑sections and intersections.
• Prepare design drawings, technical reports, specifications and tender documentation for municipal and provincial road projects.
• Perform design calculations, technical assessments and apply engineering judgement to resolve design challenges.
• Coordinate geometric design with related road and infrastructure disciplines and provide technical support during construction.

Required profile

• BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in geometric and road design, including municipal and provincial projects.
• Professional registration with ECSA or eligibility for registration is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence.
