Financial Manager – Johannesburg (Woodmead)

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Financial Manager to oversee and manage our financial and accounting operations. The role demands a strategic thinker who ensures financial integrity, accuracy and regulatory compliance while delivering key insights to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow and variance analysis in line with IFRS.
• Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, monitoring performance against targets.
• Develop and maintain internal control policies, ensure regulatory compliance and liaise with external auditors.
• Manage cash balances, working capital and identify financial risks, implementing mitigation strategies.
• Partner with other departments to provide financial analysis, business modelling and support strategic initiatives.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Financial Controller or equivalent senior finance role.
• Finance degree (B.Com Accounting or B.Compt); CA(SA) or Articles qualification advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional demeanour.
• Proactive, deadline‑driven and able to adapt quickly to change.
• Strong organisational abilities with keen attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros).
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
