Financial Adviser – Gauteng South

About the role

The Financial Adviser will provide new and existing clients with professional, relevant financial advice, planning and product solutions tailored to their needs. The role involves generating sustainable, high‑quality business, maintaining long‑term client relationships, and operating in a compliant and ethical manner to strengthen the Sanlam brand.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver financial advice, planning and sales to clients, ensuring compliance with disclosures and Treating Customers Fairly principles.
• Grow the Sanlam adviser business by meeting revenue targets, activity quotas and marketing plans.
• Network, prospect and generate leads through face‑to‑face interactions, social media and existing client bases.
• Conduct comprehensive fact‑finding, financial needs analysis and present balanced portfolio solutions.
• Provide courteous, ethical client service and resolve queries promptly.
• Document activities, update client records and report on contacts, appointments and revenue against targets.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification and successful completion of FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements and regulatory examination.
• At least 24 months registration with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
• Proven ability to achieve production targets, manage budgets and ensure compliance and risk management.
• Strong client relationship management and technical advisory skills.
• Effective communication, tech‑savvy, action‑oriented, interpersonal and persuasive abilities.
