Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Finance Manager to oversee payroll and accounts payable across our global operations, including South Africa, the UK, the US and India. You will support the Senior Finance Manager with statutory compliance and the broader financial function, providing a platform for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Onboard employees and maintain payroll records for South Africa and the US.
• Process accurate, timely payroll, generate payslips and handle statutory submissions (UIF, SDL, SARS e‑filing, EMP201, EMP501, IRP5).
• Assist with global payrolls for KSA, India, Dubai, Hong Kong and new entities.
• Prepare VAT reconciliations, local VAT submissions and manage South African statutory filings (CIPC, compensation commissioner returns).
• File US sales tax returns and coordinate VAT refunds with external advisors.
• Support month‑end closing, including general‑ledger reconciliation, inter‑company charges and consolidated management accounts.
• Produce financial reports with commentary, assist in budgeting and variance analysis.
• Perform bookkeeping tasks such as bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable oversight.
• Mentor junior staff and provide general assistance to the Senior Finance Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior finance role with payroll responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of payroll principles, processes and local tax legislation.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping practices and accounting standards.
• Excellent numeracy, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills across all staff levels.
• High level of confidentiality, discretion and adaptability under pressure.
