Creditors Controller

About the role

The Creditors Controller will manage the end‑to‑end accounts payable function for RES Group across South Africa, Rwanda, Angola, Zambia and Botswana. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role requires high autonomy and a strong background in creditors management, with a focus on process automation using Xero.

Key responsibilities

• Process and capture supplier invoices for all RES entities in Xero.
• Maintain an accurate, reconciled creditors ledger and supplier master data.
• Execute scheduled and ad‑hoc payment runs, issue remittance advices and manage supplier queries.
• Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations, age analysis and accruals.
• Handle foreign currency payments in line with SARB regulations and cross‑border compliance requirements.
• Prepare supporting documentation for international payments, including tax clearance PINs and SWIFT instructions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle accounts payable, preferably in a multi‑jurisdictional environment.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with South African tax, regulatory and banking requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
