Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Finance Manager to oversee payroll and accounts payable across our global operations, including South Africa, the UK, the US and India. You will support the Senior Finance Manager with statutory compliance and help drive efficient financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Onboard employees and maintain payroll records for South Africa and the US.
• Process accurate and timely payroll, issue payslips, and handle statutory submissions (UIF, SDL, EMP201, EMP501, IRP5).
• Assist with global payrolls for KSA, India, Dubai, Hong Kong and new entities.
• Prepare VAT reconciliations, local submissions and manage South African statutory requirements (CIPC, compensation commissioner returns).
• File US sales tax returns and coordinate VAT refunds with external advisors.
• Support month‑end closing, general ledger reconciliation, intercompany charges and consolidated management accounts.
• Produce financial reports with commentary for senior management.
• Assist in budgeting, variance analysis and bookkeeping tasks (bank reconciliation, AP/AR overview).
• Mentor and manage junior finance staff.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in a senior finance role, including payroll management.
• Strong knowledge of payroll principles, processes and local tax legislation.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping practices and accounting standards.
• Excellent numeracy, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication skills across all staff levels.
