Finance Manager (Chartered Accountant)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to join our growing healthcare business. Based in Cape Town, the role supports the financial operations of our UK‑based healthcare company, handling reporting, compliance, budgeting and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full finance function and month‑end reporting process.
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Manage statutory reporting, audits and tax submissions.
• Maintain and improve financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Analyse financial performance and provide commercial insights to leadership.
• Collaborate with operational teams to support business growth and efficiency.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions.
• Liaise with UK stakeholders, external auditors and advisors.
• Support system improvements and finance process automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA), ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• 5–8 years of finance experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong financial reporting and management accounting background.
• Experience managing audits and financial controls.
• Excellent communication skills in English and high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Xero, Sage or NetSuite.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
