F&B Service Expert

About the role

Join the Protea Hotel Bloemfontein Willow Lake team as an F&B Service Expert. You will help create memorable dining experiences for guests by delivering attentive, high‑quality service in a dynamic hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and clear tables, ensuring a clean and welcoming dining area.
• Communicate orders and special requests accurately with the kitchen staff.
• Interact with guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, and respond to guest needs promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and supplies throughout the shift.
• Handle menu items, verify information visually, and assist guests with menu questions.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving items up to 25 lb unaided (50 lb with assistance) and navigate varied floor surfaces safely.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than one year of related food‑and‑beverage experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification needed.
