End Controller – External Applications

About the role

The End Controller ensures that all stock and fixed assets leaving the store are properly documented and that customer returns are accurately recorded. This position is critical for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting Cashbuild's operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and record documentation for all outgoing stock and fixed assets.
• Maintain the End Controller book with accurate entries for customer returns.
• Sign End Control keys in/out daily and ensure all doors and shutters are secured when not in use.
• Report suspicious behaviour or vehicles to management.
• Conduct random employee searches upon store exit.
• Provide fast, friendly service to customers during check‑in and check‑out of goods.
• Support shift changes, lunch and tea breaks with backup coverage.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
• At least 1 year (or 2 years) relevant work experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the local dominant language.
• Literacy and strong numeric skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
