Electrical & Equipment QC Inspector – Renewable Energy (Postmasburg)

About the role

Kwena Human Capital is recruiting an experienced Electrical & Equipment QC Inspector to join the Redstone PV + BESS Project, a 19 MWp solar PV plant with a 30 MWh battery energy storage system. The role offers the chance to work on a utility‑scale renewable energy project covering design, construction, commissioning and close‑out, within a multidisciplinary, site‑based team.

Key responsibilities

• Support project execution by coordinating activities with other disciplines, subcontractors and stakeholders, monitoring progress and ensuring work meets programme, specifications and quality standards.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation, resolve technical queries/RFIs, and provide technical support during construction, testing and commissioning.
• Supervise site activities, manage work fronts and subcontractor performance, and ensure materials and equipment are available as required.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs and quality requirements; support inspections, punch‑list activities and project close‑out.
• Adhere to HSE requirements, participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks and site inspections, and promote a strong safety culture.

Required profile

• National Diploma / N6 / NQF Level 6 qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Quality Management or related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ experience in electrical quality control and inspection on large‑scale construction, EPC, renewable energy or industrial projects.
• Practical experience with ITPs, inspection requests, NCRs, corrective actions and quality documentation.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications and installation quality requirements.
