About the role
The DB2MVS Platform Owner is responsible for the overall management, stability, security and performance of the Db2 for z/OS platform at Nedbank. This senior role provides strategic direction, governance and ensures the platform meets business and technical requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Define and enforce platform governance, lifecycle management and strategic direction.
- Approve designs and blueprints, collaborating with infrastructure integrators to follow best practices.
- Identify, prioritize and implement platform enhancements and new services.
- Oversee service definition, delivery and integration across platform domains.
- Maintain platform availability, stability and compliance with non‑functional requirements.
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent; preferably an IT‑related degree or diploma.
- 8–10+ years of experience managing DB2 for z/OS in an enterprise environment, including ownership, governance and production readiness.
