About the role

The DB2MVS Platform Owner is responsible for the overall management, stability, security and performance of the Db2 for z/OS platform at Nedbank. This senior role provides strategic direction, governance and ensures the platform meets business and technical requirements.

Key responsibilities

Define and enforce platform governance, lifecycle management and strategic direction.
Approve designs and blueprints, collaborating with infrastructure integrators to follow best practices.
Identify, prioritize and implement platform enhancements and new services.
Oversee service definition, delivery and integration across platform domains.
Maintain platform availability, stability and compliance with non‑functional requirements.

Required profile

Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent; preferably an IT‑related degree or diploma.
8–10+ years of experience managing DB2 for z/OS in an enterprise environment, including ownership, governance and production readiness.
