Creditors Controller – Immediate Start in Sandton

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑driven Creditors Controller to join a reputable finance team in Sandton, Johannesburg. The role offers immediate start and full ownership of the accounts payable function within a high‑volume, structured environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
• Process, verify and match supplier invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Perform supplier reconciliations and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure timely payment of creditors in line with agreed terms.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date creditor records.
• Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs.
• Assist with month‑end processes, including accruals and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
• Support audits by providing relevant documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience in creditors control or accounts payable.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and supplier account management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in an accounting system (e.g., Paste).
• Advanced Excel skills.
