Fund Accountant – Hedge Funds

About the role

The Fund Accountant will join Apex Group’s Fund Accounting Division, supporting the accurate and timely valuation of hedge fund portfolios. You will maintain accounting records for a range of funds, including domestic, offshore, and partnership structures, while liaising with fund managers, brokers and custodians.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly portfolio valuations.
• Maintain underlying accounting records for assigned funds.
• Liaise with fund managers, brokers and custodians to resolve issues promptly.
• Reconcile brokerage and custodian accounts to internal records.
• Build and sustain excellent client relationships, delivering high‑quality service.
• Assist external auditors and ensure audit processes are completed efficiently.
• Support senior accountants with audit queries and periodic reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant fund accounting experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and detail‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
