Creditors Clerk – Finance Department

About the role

OUTsurance is seeking an experienced Creditors Clerk to join its Finance Department. The role involves managing the full spectrum of creditor activities, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, payments and reconciliations while supporting the Marketing and Procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and process Marketing invoices and maintain daily liaison with the Marketing department.
• Compile, verify and post journals for First Auto, Fleet Fuel, Insurance and monthly Tracker.
• Oversee petty cash issuance, monthly journals and reconciliations across all regions.
• Assist with foreign exchange payments on FNB and perform monthly Forex reconciliations.
• Load new finance creditors, amend records, and manage supplier invoice capture.
• Maintain specific ad‑hoc supplier accounts and process related journals.
• Execute FNB online payments, transfers and prepare supplier statement reconciliations.
• Resolve internal and external queries related to finance and claims creditor allocations and payments.
• Support testing of the new finance system and perform other ad‑hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Essential Accounting Diploma or BCom Accounting (or currently studying towards it).
• Comprehensive experience in a creditors clerk role.
• Strong adherence to deadlines, especially month‑end.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a deadline‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
