About the role

Feedem, a leading contract catering company in South Africa, is looking for a Cook to join its kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing meals that meet the standards and expectations of both the company and its diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and client requirements.
• Ensure all meals are presented attractively and served at the correct temperature.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in compliance with industry regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
• Collaborate with dieticians and senior chefs to adapt recipes for special dietary needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a catering, food service, or restaurant kitchen.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining quality.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of portion control and recipe scaling.
• Basic inventory and stock handling.
