Chief Executive Officer

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader who has successfully led a smaller entity or a business unit within a larger organisation. The role is a Business Unit CEO position overseeing a cluster within one of South Africa’s top JSE‑listed groups, driving strategy and growth in a technology‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s strategy, values and operational business plans to achieve short‑ and long‑term objectives.
• Lead new business development to secure a profitable project pipeline.
• Drive transformation initiatives to energise and diversify the organisation.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, regulators, financial institutions and the Board.
• Build and support a high‑performing senior leadership team.
• Represent the organisation in local and international industry networks and strategic partnerships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (postgraduate qualification preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of successful business leadership experience in the technology sector.
• Proven track record as a CEO, Managing Director or business‑unit leader.
• Board‑level experience in a private commercial business.
• Strong strategic, operational and financial management skills.
• Experience in organisational improvement or turnaround initiatives is advantageous.
