About the role

The Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Loir-et-Cher is seeking a senior manager to lead the development of volunteerism, citizenship, and youth initiatives. Reporting to the departmental director, the role oversees the strategic plan for volunteer recruitment and engagement across the service.

Key responsibilities

• Implement national action plans related to volunteerism and youth citizenship.
• Design and maintain the departmental volunteer development plan and associated performance indicators.
• Collaborate with the HR department for volunteer firefighter recruitment, employer follow‑up, and onboarding events.
• Coordinate the “citizen engagement” team and manage award processes such as the National Order of Merit and the departmental Legion of Honour nomination.
• Liaise with functional groups, territorial units, prefecture, local authorities, private and public enterprises, and the departmental council.

Required profile

• Rank of Commandant (or equivalent senior rank) within the fire service.
• Open to contract employees; full‑time, permanent position.
• Management responsibility with direct reporting to the departmental director.
• Experience working within public safety or volunteer coordination structures.
