Chef de Partie – Multi Concept Restaurant (Johannesburg)

About the role

We’re seeking a skilled and disciplined Chef de Partie to deliver consistency and precision in a busy kitchen environment. The role supports one of the flagship restaurants in Parkhurst or Bryanston, part of a group that runs a Greek restaurant, a premium steakhouse and an Italian eatery. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain the high standards of each concept.

Key responsibilities

• Execute dishes to the highest standard within the assigned section.
• Support menu delivery and seasonal changes under the Head Chef’s guidance.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Uphold hygiene, safety, and operational standards in line with company policies.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff where required.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service execution.

Required profile

• Culinary diploma or equivalent professional certification.
• 3‑5+ years’ experience in fine‑dining or premium casual restaurants.
• Solid technical knowledge across hot, cold, grill, or pastry sections.
• Proven ability to execute dishes consistently in high‑volume service.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Team player with a disciplined, professional approach.
