Business Intelligence Analyst

About the role

The Business Intelligence Analyst will design, develop and maintain reporting solutions that enable data‑driven decision‑making across finance, sales, marketing and operations. You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable dashboards, data models and automated reports.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and support Power BI dashboards, reports and ETL tools.
• Write, optimise and maintain SQL, SSIS and SSAS packages and datasets.
• Design and maintain data models and reporting structures aligned with business needs.
• Support data integration between ERP (e.g., Sage Intacct), operational systems and third‑party applications.
• Analyse and troubleshoot reporting, data and system issues.
• Assist with data extraction, transformation, validation and loading processes.
• Gather reporting and BI requirements from stakeholders.
• Document BI solutions, data models and technical developments.
• Support reporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Matric certificate and a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Informatics, Finance, Mathematics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical systems, ERP or BI role.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud ERP systems such as Sage Intacct.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Self‑starter with the ability to manage time and priorities to meet deadlines.
