Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor (Somerset West)

About the role

The Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor will promote Sanlam Retail Mass products in the Somerset West branch, delivering sound financial advice and high‑level client service. The role focuses on growing market share through client optimisation, cross‑selling and maintaining strong relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Sales delivery – understand SRM product ranges, assess client needs and provide suitable solutions, submit new business and conduct due‑diligence.
• In‑branch client service and retention – manage client profiles, send payment reminders, handle policy changes, resolve queries and ensure persistency of payments.
• Quality, compliance and continuous development – stay up‑to‑date with regulatory standards, maintain CPD points, identify risks and keep accurate records of advice.
• Monthly planning and reporting – record daily activities, collate data for weekly/monthly reports and support the Retail Branch Manager with ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification; RE5 advantageous.
• FAIS compliance as per DOFA requirements and willingness to complete Class of Business training within 12 months.
