About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Operations to join our travel services team in South Africa. In this role you will be the first point of contact for customers, handling bookings, modifications and issues across flights, hotels, car rentals and activities while ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email and chat regarding bookings, itineraries and travel policies.
- Assist customers with pre‑booking questions, errors, cancellations, modifications and re‑bookings using the appropriate processes.
- Document all interactions in the GDS and ADM systems and ensure correct fare rules, refunds and credit options are applied.
- Handle escalated issues and complaints, coordinating with team members and suppliers to provide timely solutions.
- Queue and place bookings in Sabre, manage flight schedule changes and support weekend rotation schedules.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional and caring tone.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple customer requests.
Required skills
- Experience with Sabre booking system.
- Familiarity with GDS (Global Distribution System) and ADM platforms.
