About the role

We are seeking an advanced Python engineer to shape the next generation of AI systems. In this fully remote, flexible contract role you will tackle real‑world software and data challenges that power cutting‑edge AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise production‑grade Python code.
• Analyse and manipulate structured datasets to support engineering and modelling workflows.
• Write and optimise complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Review, debug, and improve existing codebases for performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into concrete technical solutions and document decisions clearly.
• Evaluate trade‑offs, recommend best‑fit approaches, and assess AI‑generated code for correctness.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Advanced Python proficiency with a focus on clean architecture, performance and debugging.
• Strong experience analysing real‑world datasets.
• Solid SQL skills, including complex queries and data validation.
• Prior consulting or client‑facing experience, comfortable with open‑ended problems.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
