About the role
The Administration Assistant will support the Home Manager in delivering a smooth, welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors. Acting as the first point of contact, you will ensure professional reception, manage basic finance tasks and help maintain infection‑control standards.
Key responsibilities
- Provide front‑desk reception, greeting visitors and handling enquiries.
- Assist the Home Manager with administrative duties, including filing, data entry and basic financial record‑keeping.
- Enforce current infection‑control protocols and coordinate any required testing.
- Arrange courier services and manage related paperwork.
- Support the Activities Coordinator in planning and executing resident events such as birthdays, celebrations and staff presentations.
- Maintain accurate logs of visitors, deliveries and testing outcomes.
Required profile
- Professional, friendly demeanor with strong communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize a variety of administrative and reception duties.
- Attention to detail, especially when handling finance‑related documents.
- Willingness to follow and promote health and safety procedures.
Required skills
- Organisational ability to manage schedules, events and paperwork.
- Basic numeracy for handling simple finance activities.
- Proficiency in using standard office equipment and software.
