Accountant – Manufacturing Finance (Johannesburg)

About the role

Join a leading automotive manufacturing company in Ekurhuleni, supporting the finance function that keeps production moving. As an Accountant you will own the full accounting cycle, work closely with operational teams, and see the impact of your work beyond spreadsheets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting function up to trial balance
• Oversee accounts payable, goods receipt notes and supplier reconciliations
• Handle accounts receivable and customer accounts
• Monitor work‑in‑progress (WIP), inventory and sales orders
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and month‑end close activities
• Process wages, salaries and leave reconciliations
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Support stock control, inventory reporting and financial analysis
• Ensure strong financial controls and accurate reporting

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting or Finance (essential)
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles with 5+ years post‑articles experience, or 8 years commercial accounting experience
• Manufacturing industry experience (essential)
• Experience with Syspro or a similar ERP system
