Youth Employment Programme – 12‑Month Retail Role

About the role

We are looking for young South Africans to join our retail team for a 12‑month fixed‑term position. This is part of the Youth Employment Scheme (YES) and offers a first‑time working experience in an exciting retail environment where you can develop customer‑service skills and learn how a large retail group operates.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out day‑to‑day tasks in the store as directed by supervisors.
• Support the retail team in delivering a high‑quality customer experience.
• Maintain store standards and assist with merchandising activities.

Required profile

• Aged between 18 and 28 years.
• Matriculation certificate (preferable).
• Available for a fixed‑term 12‑month contract.
• Not employed permanently with a single employer for more than one year.
• Not enrolled in full‑time study during the employment period (April 26 – March 27).
• Never previously participated in the YES programme.
• Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups under the Employment Equity Act.
