About the role

Takealot is offering the Youth Employment Service (YES) Internship Program for 2026/27, providing young South Africans with hands‑on experience in the e‑commerce sector.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced professionals across departments on real projects.
• Gain insights into online retail, logistics, customer service, marketing and more.
• Assist in data analysis, research and reporting to support decision‑making.
• Participate in team meetings, workshops and training sessions.
• Contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to drive growth.
• Engage in day‑to‑day tasks and special projects aligned with personal interests.

Required profile

• South African citizen aged 18‑35.
• Minimum education: Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn, adaptability and a proactive attitude.
• Passion for e‑commerce, technology and the digital landscape.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Commitment to a 3‑month internship duration.
