Workshop Technician Level 2

About the role

CIRO Full Service Beverage Company is seeking a motivated Technician Level 2 to join its Meadowdale workshop. You will support the maintenance, cleaning and repair of coffee production equipment in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping: clean workshop floor, wash bay, power‑tool area and asset spares area.
• Conduct tool checks, keep tool cupboards tidy and maintain a clean training room.
• Strip, descale and clean spares such as taps, boilers and other coffee‑related parts.
• Re‑assemble spares and selected equipment, and carry out pre‑delivery inspections.
• Repair faulty equipment and work overtime when required.
• Clean dispensing equipment according to SOPs and handle off‑loading of containers.
• Complete administrative tasks: consumption sheets, repeat‑call details, timesheets, tool checks, overtime and leave applications, and sign performance deliverables.
• Follow SHE guidelines: keep work area safe, wear PPE, use only approved tools and consider warehouse risks.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric essential.
• Basic coffee knowledge and understanding of coffee extraction equipment.
• Technical service and repair experience.
• Intermediate electrical knowledge (220 V / 380 V) and basic electronic knowledge.
• Ability to use a multimeter (intermediate to advanced).
• Certification in relevant coffee equipment preferred; advanced coffee course and customer‑relations short course advantageous.
