Web Developer & SEO Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Web Developer & SEO Specialist to own and grow our digital presence in South Africa. The role combines hands‑on web development with advanced SEO strategy to deliver fast, responsive, conversion‑focused websites while driving organic traffic and qualified leads.

Key responsibilities

• Build, launch and maintain modern, responsive websites from approved designs, taking full ownership post‑launch.
• Develop and manage pages, landing pages, practice‑area, location and blog templates within a CMS environment.
• Optimize site performance, accessibility, security and technical reliability.
• Lead technical SEO initiatives: site architecture, internal linking, crawlability, indexation, XML sitemaps, redirects and Core Web Vitals.
• Implement structured data and schema markup (service, FAQ, review, breadcrumb).
• Conduct high‑intent keyword research and devise SEO strategies aligned with growth goals.
• Collaborate with marketing to optimise on‑page content, ensuring expertise and trust signals.
• Manage local SEO: business profiles, citations, location pages and visibility.
• Drive link‑building and content‑driven SEO to grow digital authority.
• Run conversion rate optimisation experiments to improve lead generation and user engagement.
• Monitor performance using GA4, Search Console, lead tracking and ranking tools, producing actionable growth plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience at the intersection of web development and SEO, in‑house or agency.
• Proven track record designing and building fast, conversion‑focused sites using Webflow, WordPress or similar CMS.
• Strong understanding of technical, on‑page and local SEO with demonstrable results in rankings and traffic.
• Ability to work independently and own end‑to‑end website and search functions.
