Warranty Auditor

About the role

MSX International is hiring a Warranty Auditor based in Johannesburg, covering South Africa and the rest of the international market, with remote audits most of the time. Experience in warranty audit for commercial and heavy vehicles and international audit experience is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Identify reasons for out-of-claim auditing behaviour and set up an action plan to counter non-conformities, which lead to chargebacks to dealers.
• Produce an Administrative Performance Index to measure each dealer's compliance level.
• Evaluate the network condition and quality of dealer premises, then address findings with the OEM team.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines, procedures and regulations.
• Review warranty claims, job cards, supporting documentation and repair information, and verify failed parts and their supporting documents.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in engineering.
• Either current or past experience as a Warranty Auditor for a manufacturer, or as a Warranty Supervisor/Executive at a 4-wheeler dealership with at least 5 years' overall experience.
• Knowledge of warranty administration and analysis, and of the audit process and key check areas.
• Understanding of dealer debit and strong technical and process knowledge of automotive aftersales operations.
• Ability to spot non-conformities in SOPs for technical diagnosis, FRH and RO documentation, and errors in diagnosis, labour time calculation and parts/consumables claimed.
