Warehouse Receiving Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Receiving Manager to own inbound warehouse operations and lead the teams responsible for Receiving, Credit & Returns, Administration and Housekeeping. The role is hands‑on, requiring a professional who values stock accuracy, process discipline and operational efficiency while managing people and daily warehouse challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily receiving operations, off‑loading supplier trucks and containers, and ensure stock is accurately received, barcoded, labelled and processed.
• Drive inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, stock takes, and investigation of variances.
• Oversee Credit & Returns processes, ensuring proper documentation and filing of PODs, credit notes and route sheets.
• Maintain high standards of warehouse cleanliness, safety, and proper storage of stock and pick faces.
• Lead, coach and develop the warehouse team, set KPIs, monitor performance and handle recruitment and discipline.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, manage labour utilisation and control operating costs.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, accuracy and service levels.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• 5+ years of warehouse operations experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong practical experience in receiving, inventory control and overall warehouse operations.
• Experience working with an ERP or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
