Warehouse Manager

About the role

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound and stock control, to ensure accurate receipt, storage and handling of inventory. The role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, productivity, safety compliance and continuous improvement to meet customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day warehouse activities such as receiving, put‑away, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Maintain optimal warehouse layout, space utilization and equipment upkeep.
• Develop, implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and 5S standards.
• Monitor productivity, conduct floor walkthroughs, resolve infrastructure issues and drive corrective actions.
• Lead and develop warehouse staff, set performance objectives and conduct regular reviews.
• Ensure health, safety and regulatory compliance, including OHS and food‑safety protocols.
• Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock takes and discrepancy investigations.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities, drive cost‑reduction initiatives and implement best practices.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Warehousing or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in fast‑paced environments.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop warehouse teams.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
• Understanding of Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with health, food‑safety and cold‑storage protocols.
