Warehouse Manager (AN 154)

About the role

Our client is a well‑established steel supplier based in Rosslyn, Pretoria, seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure high standards of safety, quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, loading and dispatch.
• Plan daily deliveries, collections and allocate vehicles, ensuring correct weight distribution and documentation.
• Conduct spot checks to verify material, quantities and quality, and monitor stock accuracy and damaged goods.
• Review vehicle inspections, track defects and maintain safety compliance with PPE, OHSA and company procedures.
• Address staff, stock, delivery and operational issues, reporting significant problems and following up on corrective actions.
• Monitor alarm activity, respond to security incidents (including after‑hours), and maintain loss‑prevention awareness.

Required profile

• Matric certificate and at least 5 years of relevant warehouse/operations experience, including 2 years in a management role.
• Current experience in the steel industry with good knowledge of steel products, sizes and material identification.
• Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.
• Strong organisational, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain warehouse quality standards and ensure safety compliance.

• Dispatch planning, loading coordination and vehicle/fleet management.
• OHSA and warehouse safety compliance.

• Competitive salary ranging from R30 000 to R40 000 CTC.
