Warehouse Driver and Site Fleet Coordinator

About the role

Bombela Maintenance, a subsidiary of Alstom, is seeking a Warehouse Driver and Site Fleet Coordinator to ensure safe and timely transport of goods, materials and equipment between the warehouse, sites and suppliers, while managing the daily use of the site fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Load, transport and deliver goods, materials and equipment to approved destinations, ensuring secure handling and compliance with safety standards.
• Collect goods from suppliers, customers and sites, verify delivery documents against physical items and obtain proof of delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organised warehouse, loading areas and vehicles, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate daily allocation and availability of site vehicles, conducting or arranging vehicle checks for roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate vehicle inspection sheets, logbooks, mileage records, fuel slips and service documentation.
• Monitor service intervals, licence renewals, repairs and arrange bookings for servicing, repairs and tyre replacement.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, breakdowns, fines and misuse promptly to management.
• Track fuel usage, mileage, vehicle utilisation and fleet costs, providing regular updates to supervisors.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence and authorisation to operate site vehicles.
• Ability to follow safe handling and loading practices.
• Attention to detail for documentation and record‑keeping.
• Capability to work independently and coordinate with supervisors and other team members.

Required skills

• Warehouse equipment operation (trained and certified).
• Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance documentation.
