Vetting and Leasing Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading property management and rental company, is seeking a Vetting and Leasing Manager to join their team in Durbanville. You will be the primary point of contact for tenants and will ensure a smooth, compliant leasing process from application to move‑in.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main liaison for tenants, delivering excellent customer service and resolving queries promptly.
• Coordinate with managing agents to maintain clear communication throughout the vetting process.
• Conduct comprehensive tenant application vetting, including background checks, credit assessments and reference verification.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation using spreadsheets and other administrative tools.
• Handle tenant queries efficiently to sustain high satisfaction and retention rates.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of vetting systems and databases.
• Generate regular reports on vetting activities, tenant feedback and related performance metrics.
• Provide flexible availability, including occasional weekends and evenings, especially during peak periods or emergencies.
• Work effectively under pressure, managing workload and priorities to meet deadlines.
