Vaccine Services Administrator – Acute Pharmacy Department

About the role

The Acute Pharmacy Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is seeking a Vaccine Services Administrator to support the delivery of a high‑quality vaccination service across NHS Grampian. Working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, you will join a team of Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Vaccine Services Team, including scheduling, record‑keeping and inventory management.
• Coordinate communication between pharmacy staff, clinical teams and external partners.
• Maintain accurate documentation of vaccine stock, usage and compliance with NHS guidelines.
• Assist in preparing reports and data for service monitoring and improvement.
• Handle routine enquiries and provide information to patients and staff.

Required profile

• Previous office experience in a similar environment; NHS experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Proficient IT skills for routine administrative tasks.
