About the role

Deloitte’s Africa Consulting Services (ACS) Strategy & Transactions (S&T) Vacation Programme offers university students a unique chance to experience consulting work at the intersection of strategy, finance and transformation. The 2026 cohort will rotate through three core teams – Strategy & Business Design, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Valuations & Modelling – gaining hands‑on exposure to real client projects in Johannesburg.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior consultants in developing strategic recommendations and business designs for client organisations.
• Assist M&A teams with deal research, financial analysis and preparation of transaction documentation.
• Contribute to valuation models, including analysis of intangible assets and sustainability‑related factors.
• Participate in structured learning sessions and workshops to build consulting fundamentals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present findings to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate programme, graduating in 2026 or later.
• Strong academic performance with an interest in strategy, finance or business transformation.
• Excellent analytical thinking, communication and teamwork skills.
• Motivation to learn in a fast‑paced professional environment.
