UX Designer – In‑Office (Cape Town)

About the role

We are seeking a UX Designer to shape the usability of embedded, web, mobile, and desktop applications for an advanced technology and electronics company. The role combines on‑site user research with the creation of intuitive digital experiences, supporting both software interfaces and physical system requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and customer interviews to identify user pains, gains, and needs; develop personas and user stories.
• Design high‑quality wireframes, user flows, and hand them off to the visual design team.
• Run usability studies on live products and iterate designs based on feedback from end‑users and stakeholders.
• Create cross‑platform solutions for embedded, web, mobile, and desktop applications while maintaining brand consistency.
• Champion human‑centered design principles throughout the software engineering lifecycle.

Required profile

• Relevant B‑Com, B‑Sc, B‑IT or equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in a dedicated UX design environment.
• Highly organized with a sharp eye for detail; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel locally and internationally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Figma or Adobe XD.
• Experience using CorelDRAW and Photoshop (a plus).
• Strong knowledge of information architecture, interaction design, emotional design, and UX psychology.
