Universal Advisor

About the role

The Universal Advisor joins FNB’s Points of Presence team to deliver a seamless, customer‑centric experience in a high‑volume branch environment. You will help walk‑in and existing clients by understanding their needs, offering appropriate banking solutions, and encouraging the use of digital and self‑service channels.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers professionally, living up to the brand promise “How can we help you?”.
• Identify needs, sell and cross‑sell banking products that align with those needs.
• Educate clients on digital platforms and guide them toward e‑Channels and self‑service options.
• Process transactions efficiently while meeting performance benchmarks.
• Manage leads, referrals and follow‑ups within agreed turnaround times.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA, TCF and internal governance.
• Uphold ethical standards and take ownership of personal performance and development.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12/NQF Level 4; NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service or related field is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in customer‑facing roles within financial services.
• Strong understanding of FAIS, TCF principles and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to meet sales, service and customer experience targets.
• Must not be an unrehabilitated insolvent.
