Ultra Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver (Cat 14)

About the role

DP World is looking for a safety‑conscious, customer‑focused Ultra Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver (Cat 14) to join its Transport Operations team. You will be responsible for operating ultra‑heavy vehicles (gross combination mass over 25,000 kg) safely and efficiently while ensuring timely delivery of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and drive Cat 14 ultra‑heavy motor vehicles in compliance with road traffic regulations and company procedures.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Secure cargo correctly, transport it safely, and meet delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate trip records, delivery documentation, and vehicle logbooks.
• Monitor fuel usage and support cost‑effective driving practices.
• Provide excellent customer service during collections and deliveries.
• Participate in training, continuous‑improvement initiatives, and uphold company values.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (NQF Level 4).
• Valid Code EC Driver’s Licence and Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
• Up to 3 years experience as a Superlink driver or in a similar ultra‑heavy vehicle environment.
• Physically fit, reliable, responsible and safety‑conscious.
• Ability to work flexible hours and under pressure to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Valid Code EC Driver’s Licence.
• Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
• Safe operation of ultra‑heavy motor vehicles (Cat 14).
• Vehicle inspection and basic fault‑reporting.
• Basic computer literacy and administrative documentation.
