Truck Sales Representative – DAF Trucks (Cape Town)

About the role

BA Personnel is seeking a motivated Truck Sales Representative to grow DAF truck sales within the assigned region. The role focuses on the Extra Heavy Truck market segment, driving new business and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Sales Manager/Director to develop product strategy and growth plans.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and business plans for DAF trucks.
• Identify and develop market segments, including direct selling through identified channels.
• Assist customers in selecting and specifying trucks to meet their requirements.
• Collaborate with the technical manager to prepare accurate quotations and tender documents.
• Maintain relationships with key decision‑makers and track sales performance.
• Coordinate financing with financial institutions and negotiate with body builders, hydraulic suppliers, and trailer manufacturers.
• Ensure proper paperwork and hand‑over procedures are completed in line with DAF standards.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in new truck sales of European brands.
• Strong knowledge of the truck market and ability to develop long‑term customer relationships.
