Travel Consultant – Customer‑focused role in Pretoria

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Travel Consultant to join our Pretoria team. In this customer‑focused position you will design bespoke itineraries, provide expert travel advice and help clients book all elements of their trips while meeting sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Design and sell customized travel itineraries that match client preferences, budgets and requirements.
• Provide expert advice on destinations, visas, travel insurance and related services.
• Maximise sales through upselling, cross‑selling and promoting preferred partners.
• Maintain accurate client records using the company’s operational systems.
• Handle customer complaints and queries professionally and efficiently.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and product knowledge.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a sales‑driven, target‑oriented role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong sales and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays on a roster basis.
• Recruitment will be conducted in line with employment‑equity obligations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservation systems; experience with Amadeus is advantageous.
