Transplant Coordinator (Full‑time)

About the role

The Transplant Coordinator will oversee the coordination of organ transplantation activities at Netcare St Augustine's Hospital in Durban. This full‑time position involves acting as a liaison between clinical teams, patients and external partners, and delivering education to uphold high standards of care.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of organ transplantation, from donor identification to recipient follow‑up.
• Serve as primary contact for transplant teams, ensuring clear communication and timely information exchange.
• Provide consultation and education to staff, patients and families regarding transplant procedures and protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory and hospital standards.
• Collaborate with external transplant networks and organ procurement organizations.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in transplant coordination or related health‑administration roles.
• Strong understanding of organ transplantation processes and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
